Graphics 1 - Start Microsoft Word

Let us start with the Microsoft Word Tutorial. In this lesson, I will cover how to start Microsoft Word (also known by Microsoft Office Word, MS Word or simply, Word)

I am assuming here that Microsoft Office, of which Microsoft Word is a part, is already installed on your computer. If it is not already installed, you will have to first install Microsoft Office.

Please refer to the picture above. It gives a clear idea as to how to choose the icon to start Microsoft Word

I will explain step by step how to find your Microsoft Word Icon so that you will be able to execute the Word program.

Step 1

Click, with your left mouse button, the Start button which is located on the left hand bottom corner on your Desktop

Step 2

Click the All Programs button just above the Start button.

Step 3

Find the group Microsoft Office as in Step 3 in the picture. As soon as you point at the Microsoft Office group icon, the sub-group will open. If it does not, just click once with your left mouse button.

Step 4

In the sub-group, one of the icon will be Microsoft Office Word. The 2003 after Word is the version. You might have installed a different version.

Step 5

Now that you have found where MS Word icon is located, just press the Microsoft Word Icon, with your left mouse button, to Start Microsoft Word.
